Norene’s Kitchen
Home Made Slovenian Potica Bread
I started making Potica bread when I overheard two ladies talking about it at a craft fair. They said there was no Potica bread to be found in the area. Potica (paw-teet-zah) bread is Slovenian nut bread. The dough is rolled out very thin and spread with a walnut, cinnamon and sugar filling. I thought, “How hard can it be”? I went on the internet to get some ideas and came up with a unique recipe of my own. I made a few loaves for the next craft fair and quickly sold out. I tried it again the next year and sold out again. My sister decided I should set up a store on Ebay, which I did (please see link below). I have since shipped my Potica coast to coast. Thus Norene’s Kitchen was born.
$8.00 per loaf
Recently, I have expanded to include specialty cakes, cheesecakes, birthday, wedding etc.
Mother's Day Special
9 inch mini cheesecakes
$5.00 to $10.00 (depending on flavor)
